 1. General Information

To trial any of the Staff Directories web sites, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Request trial login - to request a trial username and password, please e-mail Angie Anderson at aanderson@cqpress.com.
  2. Register for Trial - if you already have a trial username and password, register at http://register.cqpress.com/trials/login.cfm. As part of this registration process, you will be asked to create your own personal login.
  3. Log in to the web site using your new login - when you have completed your trial registration, go to one of our web sites and log in using your new username and password.

 2. Common Error Messages

Trial Expired

Trials expire two weeks after the date of registration. If you receive an error message that reads "Trial Expired," please order your subscription today. You may do so by sending an e-mail to directorysales@cqpress.com or by calling
1-800-834-9020, ext. 1906.

Maximum Usage Reached

If you receive an error message that reads "Maximum Usage Reached," it indicates that the maximum number of simultaneous users are currently logged into the site. By default, each trial provides access for one user. If you wish to purchase additional access, please contact Angie Anderson at aanderson@cqpress.com or 1-800-834-9020, ext. 1874.

Unknown Login

If you receive an error message that reads "Unknown Login," it indicates that we do not recognize either your username or password. Please try again. If you continue to experience problems, please contact Web Help at http://www.cqpress.com/webhelp/.

 3. Browser settings

Versions: Use version 5.5 or higher of Microsoft® Internet Explorer or 4.72 or higher of Netscape® Navigator as your Web browser. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com or http://www.netscape.com to upgrade your browser, if necessary.

Cookies: Cookies are small portions of data that are sent to your PC when you are using this product. They are necessary for our access control features to work properly.

To set your browser preferences to accept cookies in Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.x:

  1. Select Tools, then Internet Options.
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Select Internet as your Web content zone.
  4. If your security level is set to custom, click the custom level button; scroll down until you see "Cookies;" make sure "Allow per-session cookies" is checked.
  5. If your security is set to default level, you do not need to make any changes.

To set your browser preferences to accept cookies in Netscape® 4.x:

  1. Select Edit, then Preferences.
  2. Select the Advanced category.
  3. Select Accept all cookies.
